Our Aims
- To stimulate interest in the town of Evesham
and the surrounding villages
- To promote high standards of planning and
architecture in the Vale of Evesham
- To secure the preservation, protection,
development and improvement of features of historic or public
interest in the Vale of Evesham

What We Do
- We take an active interest in everything that
is happening in the town and in the Vale of Evesham
- We work closely with our local planning
authority, Wychavon District Council
- The Society is also represented on Evesham
Town Council's Town Promotion Committee, to the Vale of Evesham
Tourist Association and to the government-sponsored Market Towns
Initiative
- We set up displays and exhibitions to promote
interest in the town and the Vale
- We identify "grot-spots" and initiate ideas
for the improvement of sensitive sites
- We produce publications including a Town
Trail, a Village Trail, a popular mini-guide to Evesham for visitors
and, in conjunction with the Simon de Montfort Society, a leaflet
about the Battle of Evesham
- We have a lively programme of excursions
during the Summer months and monthly talks on a wide variety of
subjects during the Winter months
The Society is affiliated to the Civic Trust
and is a corporate member of the West Midlands Amenity Societies
Association and the Association of Small Historic Towns and Villages

Evesham became an
attractive town with pleasant riverside parks a century ago
because there were public spirited people of substance who were
